Climbing tape or finger tape, is used mainly to either protect the skin or to support tendons/pulleys when out on the rock or training. Climbers often use tape to prevent skin tears when climbing cracks, or at the end of a long session bouldering if the skin is sore or tender.
Climbing tape can also be used to protect skin damage that has already occurred such as flappers or rips. Taping fingers for pulley support is also common, though not always recommended, when you have an injury.
We stock a wide range of finger tape from leading brands such as i'bbz and Metolius, that can be used for sport climbing, traditional climbing, and bouldering. Read the Rock + Run articles How to Tape Finger Injuries, Finger Injuries and Treatment and this great article on Skin Maintenance for more info on how and when to use finger tape.
